Burbank, California
Burbank is a city of about 100,000 people, located northwest of Glendale. It is called "The Media Capital of the World," due to the large number of TV and movie studios in the city. Burbank is also home to the Hollywood Burbank Airport, which is a great travel alternative to driving all the way to the Los Angeles International Airport.
Burbank has its own police and fire departments, library system, and excellent school district, the Burbank Unified School District. These features, along with excellent medical facilities, and all the great things to do in and around the city make Burbank a great place to raise a family. Here is just a sampling of the many attractions:
Downtown Burbank and Magnolia Park, for great shopping, dining, and entertainment;
Universal Studios Hollywood, for studio tours, rides and attractions, dining, shopping, and entertainment.
And, all the attractions of Griffith Park, including Travel Town, the Griffith Observatory, the Greek Theater, the Autry Museum of the American West, the Los Angeles Zoo, pony rides, golf, picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, and much more.
